My love for the piano and it's sound started very early.

I was already fascinated by the little keys and buttons on my mini-keyboard at a very early age, and enchanted when I started piano lessons when I was 7 years old. After several years of enjoying playing the piano I became more and more interested in how the mechanism of it works.

There is only one study in the Netherlands for this craft: the 3-year Piano Tuner and Technician programme, at the Hout- en Meubileringscollege (“Wood and Furnishing College”) of Amsterdam. For me it was completely natural to study it in order to become an expert in this wonderful industry.

Next to running my own company I work together with the pianoforte restorer

Gijs Wilderom in Amsterdam, and at the Geelvinck Music Museum located in Zutphen and Amsterdam.
